Annual Agency & 5 Year Plan Notice

The Housing Authority of the City of Michigan City, Indiana (MCHA) invites comments from the public on its Annual & 5 Year agency plans for the operation of the Authority.
The Annual Plan describes the mission, long-range goals, and objectives for achieving MCHA’s mission over the next year. The Annual Plan provides details about the MCHA’s immediate operations, programs and services.
The 5 Year Plan PHAs’ local coordination to further support their mission, goals and objectives for serving low-income families for the next 5 years. The plan is submitted to HUD once every 5th fiscal year.
The plans and the required attachments are available for review at the following locations: www.emcha.org and 621 E. Michigan Blvd Michigan City, IN 46360 for inspection and comment by the public from October 15, 2025, until November 30, 2025.
On Friday, December 5, 2025, the MCHA will conduct a public hearing on the plans at 9:00 a.m. at 621 E. Michigan Blvd Michigan City, IN 46360.
Public Comments will be taken through November 30, 2025, and will be considered for inclusion in the final plan and submitted with the final document.
