Admissions and Continued Occupancy Plan

The Housing Authority of the City of Michigan City, Indiana (MCHA) invites comments from the public on its Admissions and Continued Occupancy Plan (ACOP) for the operation of the Public Housing (PH) program.
An Admissions and Continued Occupancy Plan is a required HUD-mandated document that outlines local policies for running the PH program. It establishes rules for eligibility, waiting lists, rent calculations, and program compliance. Updated annually, it ensures consistency with federal housing laws and agency goals.
The ACOP is available for review and comment by the public from August 3, 2026, until September 22, 2026, at the following locations:

Public Comments will be taken through September 3, 2026, and will be considered for inclusion in the final plan effective for October 1, 2026.
