Resident Advisory Board (RAB) Meeting

The Michigan City Housing Authority (MCHA) is developing its Agency’s Annual & 5 Year Plans in compliance with the United Stated Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Quality Housing and Responsibility Act of 1998. MCHA is scheduling its Resident Advisory Board meeting to receive comments to the Agency’s Annual & 5 Year Plans.
A Resident Advisory Board Meeting (RAB) will be held on July 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at 621 E. Michigan Street Michigan City, IN 46360 in the community room.
The Agency’s Annual Plan addresses the Authority’s mission, goals and objectives related to priority needs, operation and programs for the fiscal year 2027-2028. Public Comments are invited.
The Housing Authority will review comments from the RAB and work to incorporate them into the Annual & 5 Year Plans. The Michigan City Housing Authority does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, disability, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin in admission or access to benefits in its federally assisted programs and activities.
The RAB Meeting will be held for the purpose of receiving comments on the Agency’s Annual & 5 Year Plans and any updates to the 5-Year Plan as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Copies of the Plans will be available at MCHA’s main office.
The Plans will be available for review for a 45-day comment period, August 3, 2026, through September 22, 2026, at emcha.org and the main office located at 621 E. Michigan Blvd Michigan City, IN 46360.
